About This Activity

Visit Chandi Devi Temple, another revered Shakti Peetha located atop Neel Parvat hill in Haridwar. Built in 1929 by Suchat Singh, the King of Kashmir, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi (Durga). According to legend, the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha were killed here by Goddess Chandi. The temple is accessible via a 3 km trek through forests or by a comfortable ropeway ride offering aerial views of Haridwar and the Ganges. The temple's elevated position provides spectacular panoramic views. The site is particularly significant during Navratri and Kumbh Mela. The peaceful temple complex includes smaller shrines and offers a serene spiritual atmosphere away from city crowds. Located approximately 50 minutes from Rishikesh.
